Mount Fuji Photoshoot

An amazing day at Fuji doing a photoshoot for a lovely family from the USA. The atmosphere was filled with joy and anticipation, as everyone was excited about capturing beautiful moments against the stunning backdrop of Mount Fuji.

To plan a shoot at Mount Fuji, we had to be strategic, doing our research to ensure we could capture the mountain in all its glory. I had to make sure the beauty was visible and that our timing was perfect. You have to check the visibility forecast; otherwise, you show up and Fuji could be hiding behind the clouds, obscuring the iconic view. We were all hopeful for clear skies and stunning vistas.

We opted to hire a full-day driver with a van to take us from Tokyo at 8am. It turned out to be a smart move as having the car allowed us to move between various locations with ease, avoiding the stress of public transport. The ride was filled with laughter and excitement as we anticipated the day ahead.

Our first stop was Oishi Park, which is perhaps the most popular spot along the Kawaguchiko Lake. It was beautiful with the flowers in bloom and Mount Fuji fully visible in the background, creating a perfect scene for our photos. However, soon the crowds started to congregate, and since we aimed for a more peaceful ambiance, we decided to move on to explore other spots.

Our next stop was along the Saiko Lake, which was completely empty at the time, offering us a serene and tranquil environment. Here, we stopped for a relaxed photoshoot where creativity flowed freely, and the kids could enjoy playing along the shore, splashing in the water and giggling with delight for a few precious minutes. It was heartwarming to see their joy in such a picturesque setting.

We then headed to an old village known for its preserved thatched-roofed houses, a glimpse into the past that made our day even more special. We thoroughly explored various houses, each telling its own story, and managed to get some great shots there that captured both the beauty of the architecture and the spirit of the family. Overall, the day was filled with magical moments, laughter, and wonderful memories that I hope will never fade away.
